Patrol Support is a great way to help and to ease your way to becoming a full volunteer Surf Lifeguard.
Or if that’s not your aim, it’s a meaningful way to actively support our lifeguards on patrol.

If you love the idea of actively patrolling our beaches but lack confidence in the water or haven't yet developed the necessary swimming skills to be a Surf Lifeguard, consider our volunteer patrol support role.
These volunteers, recognised by their blue uniforms, play a crucial role in assisting our lifeguards. Our volunteer patrol support team aids lifeguards in various ways, such as driving land rescue vehicles for younger lifeguards, helping with surveillance, performing first aid, managing radio communications, and coordinating patrol rosters. They handle all tasks that support our lifeguards without requiring water entry.
