LAUREN PARNELL
CLUB CAPTAIN
The club captain oversees patrolling and lifesaving operations. Creating seasonal patrol lists, ensures compliance with the Patrol Operations Manual, manages Patrol Captains and Vice Captains, and attends meetings with the committee and other organizations to ensure effective operations at Bethells Beach.

JUNIOR SURF COORDINATOR
The junior surf coordinator role oversees the junior surf programme at the club. This programme is aligned with SLSNZ junior surf pathway to teach children to holistically navigate the surf environment and gain skills and abilities which leads into firstly safety and fun, but also surf sports, rookies programme and surf lifeguard award.
The junior surf coordinator is responsible for recruiting and leading the clubs junior surf coaches, parent help and surf officials, as well as resource management of equipment which are essential for junior surf to operate.

JANEY CARR
SPORTS MANAGER
The sports manager is the conduit between the sports teams and the committee to strike the perfect balance of sport and patrolling. They oversee the various sports activities the club is involved in such as IRB racing, senior surf sports, rowing and junior surf sports.
They assist with the financial, marketing and promotion, leadership, recruitment and liaison with SLSNR and SLSNZ for the various sports groups. For all sports related queries contact our sports manager below.

NICKY PERRY
BRAND & MARKETING OFFICER
The brand & marketing officer is responsible for telling the Bethells Beach story across all external channels, building awareness, supporting fundraising campaigns, and engaging our community both locally and online.
Working closely with committee members across Junior Surf, Senior Sports, Health & Safety, and the rebuild team, the Brand & Marketing Officer ensures our communications are strategic, consistent, and effective, helping us attract volunteers, secure funding, and strengthen community support for the club's mission.
SAMANTHA NORRIS
FUNDING OFFICER
The funding officer is responsible for identifying, securing, and managing the grants and sponsorships that keep Bethells Beach operating, from frontline patrol equipment to the clubhouse rebuild. Working closely with committee members across Junior Surf, Senior Sports, Health & Safety, and the rebuild team, the Funding Officer leads grant applications, builds relationships with funders and sponsors, and ensures our funding is well-managed and accountable.
